As summer gave way to autumn, theatre for young audiences has been taking a moment to look to the future. Okinawa was a festival of celebrations and reflections and it was excellent to see such a strong UK contingent present. Thankfully everyone made it home before the storms hit! A delegation from the UK also made the journey to the Kennedy Centre in Washington to join international ‘thought leaders’ working towards setting a new agenda for disability arts. We look forward to hearing reports on this and keeping up to date with plans for the 2014 Congress.

Amidst the aspirations for the future, we are as ever busy producing and touring work for young audiences today. The events section of the newsletter gives a snapshot of just what we’ve all been up. There are also a number of development initiatives to get involved in.

Finally I must give a call out from across the water for the not to be missed all Ireland Gathering for theatre for young audiences, taking place in Dublin from Tuesday 30th October to Thursday 1st November. With the theme of sharing resources: building partnerships it will have contributions from across the UK and Ireland.

Hope to see you in leafy Dublin.
