Save The Date! Symposium: The Creative Case (Children and Young People) | Tue 11 July from 11am | Birmingham Repertory Theatre

Categories: News

Theatre for Young Audiences UK (TYA) is the UK centre of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People – ASSITEJ. A membership based organisation, we focus on the promotion and development of professional theatre for children and young people, which we achieve through professional development, advocacy and internationalism.

Throughout 2017 TYA will seek to address a question fundamental to our work and the development of theatre for younger audiences: What do we need to put in place to ensure theatre for children, young people and families is reflective of the society we live in today?

This activity has been funded by Arts Council England and is called The Quality of Difference (1); the culmination of which is a symposium where we will share the outcomes of the work and explore The Creative Case in the context of professional theatre for children and young people.
The day will include an in-conversation event with Abid Husain, Director, Diversity at Arts Council England. The full schedule and booking details will be released in May.
