Jon trained as a musician in Scotland. Here he developed a passion for creating creative opportunities for young and hard to reach individuals.

Upon his return to Wales, Jon established COMMUNICATION and Nid Fy Mwnciod I/Not My Monkeys (@NotMyMwnciod) who work collaboratively to create cross platform work.

Jon is also Head of Participation for Hijinx Theatre developing their portfolio of work for learning disabled young people and an Age Cymru: cARTrefu Artist Mentor. He is currently Artistic Director (maternity cover) for Welsh young people’s company Mess Up The Mess, who create brave and awkward work for, by and with young people.

In 2017, Jon travelled to Cape Town as a Next Generation practitioner for the ASSITEJ Festival and World Conference: The Cradle of Creativity. He was selected as one of 28 individuals from around the globe; and one of 12 outside of the African continent. Since returning he has joined the ASSITEJ UK board, co-representative of TYA Cymru and joined the steering committee for the International Inclusive Arts Network (IIAN).
